The ARMA Gate EC 131 is manufactured in North America from Stainless Steel and 6061 T6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum. This gate is built to last and will be the last gate you will ever need to install. The EC 131 has been designed to operate continuously and effectively in even the harshest of environmental conditions.

Gate Anatomy

The ARMA Gate is a Modular Aluminum Sliding Cantilever Gate System

We will break that down and look at how the ARMA System works below but first, let’s get familiar with the main gate components:

An ARMA Gate is composed of 1 Main Gate Post, 1 Cantilever Gate Post, 1 Latch Post, 1 Latch Assembly, 2 Roller Guide Assemblies, 2 Bearing Truck Assemblies and of course the Gate itself.

Latch Post

The Latch Post establishes one side of your Clear Opening. Usually, your Chain Link Mesh or other fencing will terminate here. The Gate Latch Assembly will be mounted to the Latch Post.

Gate Latch Assembly

The Gate Latch Assembly is mounted onto the Latch Post. When your ARMA Gate is in the secure position it will be closed firmly against the Gate Latch Assembly.

Arma Gate

The Arma Gate is a sliding cantilever Aluminum Gate composed of Modular Gate Segments that are spliced together on site. Manufactured from Aerospace Grade Aluminum the ARMA Gate is built to last. Your ARMA Gate can be covered with Chain Link Mesh, Ornamental Aluminum or Wood Pickets.

Main Gate Post

The Main Gate Post establishes one side of your Clear Opening. Usually, your Chain Link Mesh or other fencing will terminate here. One each of the two Bearing Truck Assemblies and Guide Wheel Assemblies will be mounted to the Main Gate Post. This Post works in tandem with the Cantilever Gate Post to support the Gate load.

Bearing Truck Assembly

The two Bearing Truck Assemblies support the load of your ARMA Gate and ultimately transfer the load through the Post and into the ground. Your ARMA Gate will roll smoothly on the two Bearing Trucks.

Roller Guide Assembly

The two Roller Guide Assemblies control the bottom rail of your ARMA Gate helping to maintain Gate alignment and keeping your gate vertical.

Cantilever Gate Post

The Cantilever Gate Post works in tandem with the Main Gate Post to support the load of the gate. One each of the two Bearing Truck Assemblies and Guide Wheel Assemblies will be mounted to the Cantilever Gate Post.

Modular – The EC131 is a commercial grade security barrier product that is delivered to your door and assembled on site, by you, with only a handful of commonly available tools. Gate segments are assembled in minutes with no lifting equipment required. Modular segments are then joined to each other using our ArmaSplice technology.

Aluminum – Every ARMA Gate is made from 6061 Aerospace Grade Aluminum. Our custom extrusions have been engineered to maximize strength, stiffness, durability and life expectancy. Coupled with Stainless Steel Hardware and high tensile cables, you can confidently undertake your responsibility to protect your family and property for as long as necessary.

Sliding Gate System – Every ARMA Gate rolls on 8 high precision, sealed deep groove ball bearings which are built onto precision machined bearing truck assemblies. Each truck is CNC machined in house, from solid billet 6061 Aerospace Grade Aluminum. There are no wheels or tracks on the ground, leaving your gate free to function in any environmental condition. Two Lower Roller Guide Assemblies ensure that your Gate alignment is stable and precise at all times.

Configuring The EC131 ARMA Gate

Step 1 – Finish

ARMA Gates can be delivered to your door in both mill finish Aluminum or black powder coated Aluminum. Both are durable and attractive. Custom powder coat colors can be supplied but are considered special order. Feel free to call to discuss.

Step 2 – Clear Opening

The number of ARMA Gate segments that you require will be determined by the length of the clear opening across which you would like your ARMA Gate to span. This clear opening length will roughly constitute 2/3 of your total ARMA Gate length with the remaining 1/3 acting as a counterbalance. The EC131 can span openings from 3′ to 22′.

Step 3 – Gate Height

Generally your ARMA Gate height will be specified to match your existing fence line or it can be incorporated into your perimeter security solution in any way you see fit. The height is measured from the the general grade line to the top of the Gate panel after installation. ARMA Gate comes in 4′, 5′, 6′, 7′ and 8′ standard heights.

Step 4 – Infill Style

Secure your assets with Chain Link Mesh, Ornamental Aluminum or Wood Picket infill.

Steps 5,6 and 7 – Gate Post and Latch Post Solutions

ARMA Gate can supply 3 1/2 ” round galvanized Steel posts that are completely modular and will ship with the rest of you gate order.  As seen above, your Gate Hardware (Bearing Truck Assembly, Roller Guide Assembly, and Latch Assembly) will mount directly to these posts with no additional adapter components required.  This is the post type that we recommend for most applications.  Alternatively we can supply adapter kits that will allow you to mount the Gate Hardware to a verity of other post and flat wall types (see the specs below).  Note: We do not supply or ship the square steel or wood posts but the adapter kits come with all the required fasteners to mount to your posts.  The Flat Wall Kit comes with the adapter plate only as the anchors required will be unique to each flat wall installation and should be sourced locally to meet your specific situation.
